Someone has to be made accountable for Bato’s escape.

No less than the DILG Secretary and PNP Chief entered the senate building last night to secure the senators.

The public was assured last night Bato was in the “5th foor, in his room, resting”. Bato’s lawyer showed a video last night of Bato supposedly in the senate.

The senate building should’ve been secured last night - no one in, no one out.

We need answers. How did Bato escape? Who helped him?

We laud this initiative from the Department of Education (DepEd), the National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea (NTF-WPS) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) to instill in our youth the importance of protecting our sovereign rights and territorial integrity. Through this initiative, we will strengthen our fight against disinformation and historical distortions that undermine our dignity as a nation.

Pero hindi dapat dito matapos ang ating ipinaglalaban, lalo pa’t may mga pilit pa ring nagpapakalat ng mga kasinungalingan ukol sa WPS gamit ang mga huwad at walang basehang maritime claims.

Together with the WPS bloc in the House of Representatives, we once again call on our colleagues in Congress for the urgent passage of the “West Philippine Sea Mandatory Education Act,” which mandates the integration of the WPS issue into our primary and secondary education curriculum. This legislation will ensure that even if there is a change in administration, WPS education will continue, further strengthening our citizens' resolve to uphold our sovereign rights and territorial integrity.

Maging agresibo rin dapat ang gobyerno sa paninindigan at pagprotekta sa ating teritoryo. That’s why along with our 16 fellow lawmakers, we also filed a measure urging the government to raise the escalating tensions in the WPS before the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). We also urged the government to file another case against China in an appropriate International Tribunal. Ipakita nating hindi tayo pasisindak, hindi tayo basta pwedeng itaboy, apihin at tapak-tapakan sa ating teritoryo, gaano man sila kalakas at kadambuhala.
