Deel has raised $300M at a $17.3B valuation
We started about 6 years ago, struggling to even make $10K.
I've never shared this before because of how embarrassing our start was.
The story of how we went from $1K to $1B and the advice I'd give to my younger self:
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I’m begging you. You’ve got to be shameless about anything you are building. Whether it is a product, a startup, or a career. You have to be so delusional that even the universe is looking at you with its jaws on the floor, wondering what you are drinking!
The same Finland where immigrants are leaving due to unemployment? The same Finland that is revoking the residence permits of unemployed immigrants who are out of jobs for 3 months and deporting them?
I bleed whenever I see Finland PR. The more you look, the less you see.
@d_udoaka@JohnUdoumoh Congrats chief🎉🎉
Lovely pairs of shoes btw 😎
I have over 10 boxes of these adidas samba to sell off at a discounted price for anyone who’s interested 🥺
Silicon Valley optimizes for the 18-22 year old founder But probably the hungriest founder out there is the 27-34 year old founder
→ They were sold the american dream of go to college, get a job and stay in that job for 30 years and your life is sorted...they've realized it's a scame
→ They've been through adversity and have probably pivoted in their personal/career life multiple times
→ They are hungry to not be left behind by a society that didn't prepare them for what is happening in the job market today
I want to see more 30-something first time founders get funded.
