@TimothyBramlett@VThomas454 The whole AI revolution has shown there’s so many situations that require humans to just regurgitate information that we can hardly distinguish that from “intelligence”
@UWAthletics Thanks for absolutely terrifying my dog and waking up my baby who had just fallen asleep. What a stupid, selfish and obnoxious thing to do.
@btwntwinpeaks Unfortunately, MBV defined the genre and remain on a level that no one else has come close to touching. I do think that a Sunny Day in Glasgow is way underrated https://t.co/ch78LuNE5F
@seanfrank They’re also doing shit like selling knock-off children’s life vests that aren’t U.S. coast guard approved and don’t STOP CHILDREN FROM DROWNING. Seems likely this will blow up in their face at some point.
I'm not following Wall Street closely enough to know if the tech stock exuberance (until this week) has mostly been on AI expectations. But if so... that seems bad? AI as actual productivity booster is definitely overhyped.
It’s too bad the Decembrists don’t have a larger cultural profile because Colin Meloy was basically designed in a lab to annoy red state republicans. Just imagine the hilarious culture war interactions if they’d listened to any track on Picaresque.
@gregmushen #3 is interesting, public transit a much more efficient way to transport lots of people. Probably America will continue to not prioritize it, more people will use cars cuz it’s cheaper, and traffic will be absolutely awful.
The funniest thing about Damon Albarn getting really upset that 22 yo Americans don’t know Blur is that against all odds, he has ANOTHER band, made up of cartoons, still relevant after two decades, that Americans actually do know.
I used to think the FAANG PM product design interview questions were dumb, but after spending time prepping them, I think it's a great question. It is a formula you need to learn, but you can't totally game it. You have to actually be empathetic and creative to answer it well.
How is it possible that no music streaming services (as far as I know) let you create folders for albums or any kind of organizational structure besides playlists? Am I the only person who wants to organize my music?!?
@jessicamotais@SahilMariners Yah people in the south are way friendlier. I didn’t think it impacted my daily life much though. It’s certainly a more pleasant vibe, but it’s not like you’re having meaningful interactions. (But maybe that’s just me and my personification of a standoffish Seattleite 😂)
