Been spending some time looking through WINDOWS // NYC by @dave_krugman and I think what keeps pulling me back is how simple the idea feels at first.
It’s just windows.
But the more you sit with it, the more you realize every light represents someone. Someone working late. Someone having dinner. Someone reading before bed. Thousands of lives unfolding at the same time across the city.
Dave spent years capturing those moments throughout New York at night, and that patience shows in the work.
What I find interesting is that the project doesn’t stop at photography. Those individual windows become part of larger generative buildings, and together collectors help shape a living onchain city.
There’s something special about art that makes you pay attention to things you’ve walked past a hundred times before.
WINDOWS // NYC feels like one of those projects.
