@rorysutherland Near free energy would also benefit industry being created/staying in Scotland/North of England. Northern powerhouse would be more than a slogan. Giving London/South the geographic benefit of Scotlands free energy further entrenches the North/South imbalance of the UK economy.
@holland_tom Listened this morning and reminded me of not just Newcastle, Sunderland too. There is a plaque commemorating his visit at what’s now Sunderland museum and winter gardens where he laid the foundation stone.
Opposite Weatherspoons
Not to spark any Sunderland/Newcastle Grant-off.
@mattspx Thought I was just imagining it. Driving through Irish countryside could do a teams call no problem, didn’t drop once. Can barely get signal in areas where people live in England. Feels like somethings got worse past 5 years was never this bad. Vodaphone for reference.
@Capt_Fishpaste Maybe nothing in it, but my wife’s friend is at Newcastle airport going to Spain this morning and she got a photo standing next to Harry Redknapp. Seen the photo.
@MartinSLewis Only if rates set at a national level. People who own £Million+ houses paying similar to a house at £200k in a different area is the problem. Not so much of a problem originally but the distortion of London prices compared to almost everywhere else it’s became a problem.
@lewis_goodall Arguing over the wording of statement that won’t impact the real world. Meanwhile record NHS waiting list, schools collapsing, councils bankrupt, people can’t afford to live and corruption in public bodies as a starter for 10. If only they cared this much about everything else…
@JulieElliottMP @stephgdurkin @RADA_London@CynthiaErivo Julie can use your privilege to call for Cynthia’s resignation. Comments like this are not inclusive and those views are fundamentally the problem; where if not London it’s not good enough. I’m sure it doesn’t reflect RADA’s views but their inaction would cast doubt on that.
@GarethBarkerWMS If his agent thinks he’s at premiar league level he’s deluded.
Hopefully a reality check for some of the players who think their ready to take the next step up.
@TyneFlashback@KR4M316@My_Metro Quite depressing really when you think what’s lost because of that industry being gone. Pedestrian tunnel under the Tyne has a similar story.
@bbclaurak When the self obsessed circus that is the Tory Government is gone. We’ve lost over a decade to their economic fantasies and flawed ideology.
@MarketUrbanism The same in the UK to, call them EPC. They last 10 years from the assessment and have to be in date when a property is sold or rented out. In the UK it’s public information the government has an online database in which you can search for any property.
