There were 2 old women in my screening and when the BBFC 18 and “strong bloody violence, gory images” came up one of them turned to the other & asked “is it a horror then?”
They finished the film tutting and shaking their heads in disgust meanwhile I’d seen my fave film of 2024
@calvindyson Had a similar experience. Old couple behind me. Overheard them say ‘Oh it’s great to see Demi Moore again’. Alas, they didn’t last & left before the end, bless them. Incredible film. Moore should win the best actress Oscar. A shame the Academy looks down on horror genre pictures.

Had an amazing experience watching #Caligula: The Ultimate Cut at the @ChiswickCinema on Tuesday. The site is incredible, the team are super friendly & helpful. This is the best cinema in the UK 🎥
Clough’s ill-fated interview in 1977. His aim, to completely change the culture of the FA & the England side. His bullishness frightened them to death. GS has achieved BC’s aims & should be praised for his pragmatic approach. Clough’s unfulfilled vision is Southgate’s legacy ⚽️
