I’ll tell you something for free.

At the highest level of football, there are certain things you cannot fluke.

Glasner won the Europa League with Frankfurt, this was a time big teams use to drop from UCL into Europa, so he had to face teams like Barcelona on the way. Still, he won the Europa.

He came to Palace, with a small budget compared to the other English teams, he won the FA Cup, the first trophy in Palace’s history, he beat Man City to win it. You can’t fluke that, he’s a winner.

He qualified them to Europa by winning the FA Cup , but they dropped to Conference league because of the multi-club ownership saga with Textor. Despite the setback, he has just won an European trophy for a South London club.

In 2 years, he has changed a club’s history and won 3 trophies for them if we add the community shield. He did this while losing big players, lost his captain January, lost his best player to Arsenal in summer, lost Olise.

There's one guy in my area people think is a Yahoo boy.

He's always in nice clothes, has a sleek Lexus car, and always at home. No office to go, and no visible business.

To make things worse, the guy hardly talks to anybody. If you greet him, he'll just smile or nod his head and pass.

So people have a lot of opinions about him.
“Poud boy.”
“He's definitely into fraud.”
“He go dey just dey go. He no go greet anybody.”
“No legit work fit make person dey house like that.”

The backbiting on the street was just constant.

The funny thing is, the guy is not even a Yahoo boy, and he's also not an arrogant person at all. I know this because I'm a little close to him.

He's just naturally shy and awkward around people; so he always prefers to just go his own way gently.

He's also working remotely for foreign companies, so he earns in dollars.

One thing I've observed in life is that people backbite too much over things they don't understand.

I was arguing with an elderly man who is most likely in his 60s, I told him that if Tinubu or an APC candidate should show up in the location we were at, a lot of Nigerians present will still turn up in hope of collecting 1 or 2 naira and will sing praises; And on election day, many voters can switch allegiance because many Nigerians (if not the majority) are easy to sway with incentives; I backed it up with the recently concluded elections, using Anambra as a case study.

He got pissed and said I was talking n@nsense. He said the opposition has the advantage, and I then reminded him about who are the oppositions now, decampees, and told him that a lot of Nigerians will vote for logos, Top to Bottom, and wouldn't care if the person they vote for has failed woefully before. And reminded him of the Okada man who won elections due to this. He then stormed off angrily, saying I don't have a point.

This is the problem with Nigerians, DENIAL.
