@SouthernRailUK why did the late running 1234 Horsham to Havant only open doors on 6 coaches at Ford? All 8 coaches were on the platform and normally doors on all 8 coaches open. Nearly missed my station!
#southernrailway please change your auto announcement that passengers can only alight from the front 8 carriages at Littlehaven (southbound) - it has a 12 coach southbound platform.
“Shut your mouth and keep walking” was the response when a mum asked the female driver of WX22REU to not park on the pavement when they were picking up from Dulwich Village Infants.
We’re told the head teacher @dulwichinfants has been sworn at when she’s challenged drivers.
@Wilt@RailUKForums@networkrail@RailDeliveryGrp Maybe they didn't understand the issue. As far as I know ticket offces can issue priv tickets. Online is the issue. In France they suggested buying a child fare from tne machine if the ticket office is closed. In Ireland (Dart) they said if ticket office is closed - tough luck!
Why would a new railway organisation bringing track and trains together and with passengers at its heart, want to sub-contract responsibility for those passengers to a third party? The equivalent of a supermarket outsourcing the management and staffing of its checkouts.
Person leaving "begging" notes on seats next to passengers yet again on Thameslink. Of course it doesn't happen on the rare occasions when inspectors are on trains. Don't see it on Southern staffed trains. Nothing against people in genuine need. @TLRailUK@SouthernRailUK@dft
@philatrail Phew, the government promises great improvements to Northern infrastructure in the future. Easy to promise, but I for one am not holding my breath.
@SouthernRailUK All passengers on the 1143 horsham to stations on the Arun Valley line were told to get off at Billingshurst as train broke down, and when fixed southern decided to run non stop to Barnham. You should tell passengers to claim Delay/Repay as over 1 hour delay
📣 Consultation on changes to how tickets are sold extended 📣
Passengers now have until 1st of September to have their say on the proposed changes.
Visit https://t.co/zmTj3HpoQq to find out more about the proposals and respond to the consultation.
@SouthernRailUK This is totally unnecessary. Couldn't be politically motivated could it? Even on strike days a service was operated. Rail Delivery Group should be held to account.
@Captain_Deltic Oh THOSE degrees, I thought they were talking about climate change temperatures. Mind you one does find it a challenge to muster up the energy to listen to politicians these days (could that be their objective?).
@AndyRoden1 He is not on my train! The only problem with the railway that has little chance of being resolved is government ideological prejudice against the transport industry.
So Nadine Dorries has been busy writing a book titled The Plot: The Political Assassination of Boris Johnson
She's done that while receiving her MP's salary.
But she hasn't managed to speak in the House of Commons chamber for over a year!
If @RailDeliveryGrp genuinely want to know how to best serve customers on the station concourse, ask how Network SouthCentral made it an art form at Gatwick in the mid 90s. #rail#railways#NSE
Closure of ticket offices and "promised" redeployment of staff to concourses is a consultation. Very unbalanced with constant one sided propaganda from the @RailDeliveryGrp even station announcements! Consultation clearly means we ask for comments and ignore you! @Captain_Deltic
Even Richard Osman has broken off from murder mystery writing to tweet against TO closures. 22.9k likes.
I never expected the opposition to take off like this. Could it still be an issue at the up-coming byelections?
