82 years ago, 14,000 Canadians landed on Juno Beach, many of whom would never come home.
On the anniversary of D-Day, we pause to honour those who served and sacrificed. We remember that our rights, our freedoms, and our way of life were fought for and were won by those who answered the call.
Took part in @UWCongress Ukrainian Summit 2026 in Bern which brought together 🇺🇦 communities from 50 countries. We are united in our fight against Ru aggression. Grateful to all global Ukrainians for their support #StandWithUkraine

Happy National Day, Sweden! 🇸🇪 @SweMFA
Warm congratulations to the people of Sweden on the occasion of the National Day of Sweden.
We highly appreciate Sweden’s unwavering support for Ukraine and cherish our close partnership. Wishing Sweden peace, prosperity, and continued success.
Appreciate your strong support, dear @Braze_Baiba, and Latvia’s principled stance alongside Ukraine. At the UN and beyond, we must remain united, as only through collective efforts can we put an end to Russia’s aggression and achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace.
No good news for the Russians.
By refusing President Zelenskyy’s offer for direct peace talks, Putin lost his chance to get out of his failed war.
Things will only get worse for Russia. Battlefield losses will continue to grow. Failures will get more humiliating.
The economy will plunge deeper into recession. More jobs will be lost, taxes will be growing, and inflation will hit those most vulnerable.
There are already no safe places in Russia that can be exempt from Ukraine’s long-range sanctions. But their intensity will continue to grow.
The international pressure will not ease. It will only get stronger. Including the use of frozen assets, travel bans, and inevitable accountability for crimes.
All of this because the fanatic in the Kremlin wants to keep in power at any cost and is ready to sacrifice his country’s future and kill millions of people for his insane delusions.
All of this because he doesn’t want to admit a simple truth: he will never achieve his goals on the battlefield and he better abandon his delusional hopes of Ukraine collapsing soon, support from its partners waning, or pressure on Russia easing.
Russia will still have to accept a diplomatic solution but the terms will be far worse.
Putin’s refusal of peace should lead to a significant increase in international pressure on Russia and support for Ukraine.
On June 5, hundreds of Ukrainians gathered near the border – to welcome home 185 Ukrainian defenders and one civilian released from Russian captivity during the latest prisoner exchange.
They were greeted with flags, flowers and tears of joy. Every Ukrainian still held in Russian captivity return home.
Proud to congratulate the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy team on winning the 14th Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition, an ECHR moot court organised by the Council of Europe & ELSA.
Ukraine also won all Best Speaker awards.
Delighted to greet them in person at the award ceremony. 🇺🇦⚖️

Happy Constitution Day, Denmark!
Ukraine has learned who its real friends are. Denmark has never left any doubt – it shows up when it matters most. Shared values, common efforts – and a vision of the Europe we are building together.
Grateful to @DanishMFA and the entire Danish people. 🇺🇦🇩🇰
Tillykke med Grundlovsdag!
Thank you, dear @prevotmaxime, for your strong words of support.
Belgium’s stance on opening the first negotiation cluster is an important and encouraging signal. Ukraine has demonstrated remarkable resilience, determination, and commitment to reforms and democratic values while defending its sovereignty and Europe’s security every single day.
Ukraine has achieved significant progress on its reform path despite Russia’s full-scale aggression and remains committed to delivering on the reforms required for EU accession. We welcome Belgium’s recognition of this progress and support for moving the accession process forward.
The opening of the first negotiation cluster would be a fair and merit-based decision. Ukraine’s future is in the European Union, and we look forward to working together with our partners to make this shared vision a reality.
Open Letter
To the President of the Russian Federation
From the President of Ukraine
When you came to power in Russia more than 26 years ago, many people in Ukraine viewed you positively. That is how it was. But that is now in the past.
Now, the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians view it positively that our long-range drones paid a visit to the opening of your forum in St. Petersburg, covering a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers. As you know very well, that distance is not the limit of our capabilities.
This open letter is a serious and meaningful proposal to end the war. Directly from President of Ukraine — to the President of the Russian Federation.
With clear, doable steps and an invitation for a personal meeting.
We are also passing this letter officially through diplomatic channels.
We expect a meaningful response to this proposal. It’s time to end this war. It’s time to choose peace.
Thank you @MoriMathieu, for ensuring that the voice of Ukrainian communities is heard at the U7 and G7 level.
As Ukraine continues to defend freedom and democracy, recovery must go hand in hand with accountability, democratic governance and strong local self-government.
We deeply appreciate the unwavering support of @COECongress for Ukraine’s cities, regions and communities.
On 4 June 2026, @COECongress Secretary General @MoriMathieu participated in the @G7 engagement group for cities (U7) and addressed the Ukraine Recovery Workshop in Nancy, France.

On 4 June, Ukraine marks the Day of Remembrance for Children Killed as a Result of Russia’s War of Aggression against Ukraine.
Speaking at the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Ukraine recalled that at least 707 children have been killed, 2,548 injured, and more than 20,000 illegally deported or forcibly transferred by Russia.
Every child must be brought home. Those responsible for crimes against Ukrainian children must be held accountable. Their return is not a matter of negotiation, but a matter of justice.

🇪🇺🇺🇦 Fantastic news — all EU member states have given the green light to open Cluster 1 in accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova.
We are one step closer to the EU membership: steadily moving towards our goal.
Thank you to @CY2026EU and all EU members for keeping pace and supporting Ukraine’s European choice.
June 4 is the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression. It honours kids affected by war and violence. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, at least 707 Ukrainian children have been killed. Behind every number is a child whose future has been stolen. Russia must be held accountable for these crimes.
@United24media
On 4 June, Ukraine commemorates the memory of children whose lives were taken as a result of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
For more than 12 years, Ukrainian children have suffered from Russian aggression. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, they have become targets of a systematic policy of terror, deportation, forced assimilation, militarisation, and the erasure of Ukrainian identity.
One of Russia’s gravest crimes remains the illegal deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children. Russia conceals information about their whereabouts, alters their personal data, imposes Russian citizenship, places children in Russian families and state institutions, and subjects them to ideological indoctrination, militarisation, and forced Russification.
Through the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, and in cooperation with state institutions, civil society, and international partners, Ukraine is building a comprehensive system for the identification, return, rehabilitation, and reintegration of children affected by Russian aggression.
An important instrument in these efforts is the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, co-chaired by Ukraine and Canada. It coordinates international efforts related to locating children, ensuring their safe return and reintegration, documenting crimes, strengthening sanctions pressure, and holding perpetrators accountable.
The MFA of Ukraine calls on the international community to intensify political, diplomatic, sanctions, and legal pressure on Russia.
We urge partners to strengthen support for the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children. We also call on states and international organisations to maintain and strengthen sanctions against all individuals and entities involved in the illegal deportation, forced transfer, militarisation, indoctrination, and illegal adoption of Ukrainian children.
We remember every child whose life was taken by Russia.
We fight for every child whom Russia seeks to take away from Ukraine.
We will bring every Ukrainian child home.
