As long as they didn't accidentally send this to me, it looks like my script, The Boca Shuffle, is advancing to the finals. Congrats to everyone who made it!
@tschrack I don't think I ever ended up liking a movie that I resisted watching because I knew it wasn't for me. Never saw Top Gun, because it's not what I like. Folks here were so complimentary of Top Gun Maverick, I figured I'd watch the original first. Suffered through both.
@PhoenixBlackNow I don't mind the words "looks, walks, talks, and smiles" in a screenplay. We amateurs have been conditioned to find alternate words for them, but I'm not sure it's always necessary. I think we all need to take a beat to ponder, contemplate, and consider when to use them.

@DannyManus Don't you think that Ted Sarandos is mostly right? It seems like nowadays, people will go to theatres for only certain types of moviesโespecially four-quadrant movies like the two you named. For the vast majority of movies, viewers seem to prefer to watch at home.
@CindyBegel I also have a reimagining of The Fresh Prince. It's called "The French Priss of Bel-Air." Same show as the original, except it focuses on a fussy guy who lives in a '78 Chevy Bel Air, and has none of the original characters. Wait. I need to think this out.
@tschrack There should be a doc called "Tales From the Script" available only on Kanopy. I haven't seen it because I can't find my library card and have procrastinated on visiting the library to renew it.
