@RacicotLeanne @chemDrV @DrCJSobers Then I for once thought quickly and said “..OR- you can feel the suction with your glove” and demonstrated that. I’m glad I got there quickly, but would be much better to have go to resources- so that moment of alienation didn’t have to be there for the student.

@RacicotLeanne @chemDrV @DrCJSobers I had a student with hearing impairment who had a cochlear implant I believe, and read lips- and I remember instructing her and her lab partner on using the rotovap. I said “you’ll hear this hissing sound..” her partner got it, but blank stare from the student.
