oh wow, it turns out the guy who supposedly was expressing society's rage at health care execs was actually crazy and didn't know right from wrong. ok.
Rep. Barry Moore handily defeats Jared Hudson to secure the GOP nomination for Alabama’s U.S. Senate seat. In the deep-red state, Moore becomes the clear frontrunner in November. #ALPolitics
It’s hard to see a path for Jared Hudson in this #alsen race. Barry Moore is up by 17 points with about half of votes in. We expect a big advantage for Hudson in Jefferson County but I don’t know if it will be enough to overcome Moore’s margins in the southern half of the state.
AP calls the AG race for Katherine Robertson. She’s currently up 57-43 with a little under half the vote in.
I think we’ll have calls in the other two big races here shortly.

Perhaps a good fix to this campaign texting madness would be requiring candidates to use their actual cell phone numbers in the messages. That way voters could respond with, you know, questions.
Serious question: did any Europeans visit a Cracker Barrel and play the triangle tee game?
I guess what I’m asking is, did anyone find out, like I have many times, that they are an “ignoramoose?”
One of my favorite parts of hosting Capitol Journal is getting to interview student leaders. Most recently, I welcomed two young ladies from Girls State - Governor Kate Hendon and Chief of Staff Tatelyn Ezelle. Super impressive young leaders!
I've known Lyndsey a long time and we all would hang out at Tune when she and Graham were dating. As her friend, I was never comfortable with that relationship because of how unhinged he was. And she told me he had an SS tattoo long before it became public. Her word is solid.
Three women who dated Graham Platner, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Maine, told The New York Times they found his actions intimidating and disturbing, describing volatile relationships. https://t.co/ClaeKxVUEs
