Wrong data leads to wrong premises in modelling which leads to wrong forecasting. Treasury modelling is only as good as the data provided.

@gregorymckenna @AustralianLabor @LiberalAus One step at a time, servicing and deposits are two distinct aspects of finance. you need to ensure they can afford the loan. Guarantor 15% of the deposit and see how many take up financing. Then reduce the 7.5% servicing rate.

This is how you get first home owners into the property market. Distinct from a First Home Owners Grant being a cash handout, the gov goes guarantor on 15% of the deposit. It seems like sound policy making with bipartisan support, although early days yet.
