@Melitonenn@NHLJetsNation Unfortunately he just doesn't have it any more outside of faceoffs. Who can blame him after enduring long COVID and being out of the game for over two years. He just wasn't fast enough to be effective. The will to compete was there but the legs weren't.
@NikLynam I suspect he will give them the coming season, or at least part of it, to see what happens. If the team doesn't improve markedly then there's a good chance 37 will ask for a trade to a contender.
@SportsTalkWPG@hustlerama@ShaneMalloy Bjorck has patterned his game after Sidney Crosby and looked good at the Worlds. If he's available the Jets should take him. Problem is they almost never go the logical route.
@GarretHohl@sullys2cents Nino's slow and ineffective, but hey, he's got character & he's a veteran presence. Ville is a solid third pair defender - better than Fleury or Stanley - but they don't like him for some reason. Go figure.
@Luke_Elvy Winning on the LIV Exhibition Tour is many worlds apart from winning a major. To date Niemann hasn't come remotely close to showing the mettle required to win a major, let alone contend for one.
@ScottBilleck They have a bias against him for some reason. Could have re-signed Brenden Dillon (he wanted to stay here); kept the error prone Stanley instead. Let Dylan Coghlan go & he's now playing for the Stanley Cup with Vegas. Their ability to objectively evaluate defensive talent sucks.
