Do not fear, you Christians. The Spirit of God has not lost his power. In his own good time, he will send his messengers even to a wicked and adulterous and careless generation. He will cause Mount Sinai to overhang and shoot forth flames; he will convict men of sin; he will break down men’s pride; he will melt their stony hearts. Then he will lead them to the Savior of their souls.
—J. Gresham Machen, Things Unseen, Pg. 287
Some pastors complete their theological education and assume they have learned all that they need to know.
Others understand that their formal training had only given them tools for a lifetime of learning.
In time, it becomes apparent who kept learning and who didn’t.
.@BenSasse is a total gem. His body is wasting away, and he’s leaving everything he has on the field—900+ of us in person last night.

Do good works contribute to our standing before God?
Watch as @RCSproul contrasts the Protestant view and Roman Catholic view on the relationship between faith, works, and justification.
God's plan and His ways of working out His plan are frequently beyond our ability to fathom and understand. We must learn to trust when we don't understand.
Why is singing part of a Christian worship service?
Watch as Joel Kim reminds us that song is a joyful and heartfelt way to express our praise and thanksgiving to God.
A generation raised to follow its feelings will eventually lose its grip on reality.
Feelings change. Truth does not.
God's Word is the truth. Jesus Christ is the Truth.
This is what it looks like when death loses its sting. It has no victory over this man.
What a blessing that @BenSasse could share the truth and His light in this interview! God is good.
I have heard it said, “God didn’t die for frogs. He died for humans, implying we were worth the sacrifice.” This turns grace on its head. We are less deserving than frogs. They have not sinned. They have not rebelled and treated God with the contempt of being inconsequential in their lives. God did not have to die for frogs. They aren’t bad enough. We are. Our debt is so great, only a divine sacrifice could pay it.
God, to keep His people in their right place, humbles us by showing us what is still within us. Not to condemn us, but to keep us dependent. “Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word” (Psalm 119:67).
These discoveries are not accidents. They are part of His work. He exposes what we would otherwise hide, so that we do not begin to trust ourselves. “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6).
The deeper we see our sin, the more clearly we see our need of Christ. And that keeps us low, honest, and near to Him. “If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves” (1 John 1:8).
So this humbling is mercy. It guards us from pride and keeps us resting, not in what we are, but in what He has done.

Christians don’t need to find their identity.
By God’s grace, we know who—and whose—we are.
Watch as @Mike_Reeves shares the freeing truth about our identity in Christ. #ligcon
To know the will of God is not about gaining information, it is about being brought under His authority. To find the will of God is not a mystical discovery, it is a life shaped by His Word. And to do the will of God is not measured by what we achieve in the eyes of men, but by obedience before Him.
“Do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is” (Ephesians 5:17). His will is not hidden from us. It is revealed in Scripture, calling us to holiness, repentance, and faith. “This is the will of God, your sanctification” (1 Thessalonians 4:3).
The real issue is not whether we can know His will, but whether we are willing to submit to it. Because once His will is clear, obedience becomes the test. “If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching” (John 7:17).
So the greatest knowledge is to know what God has said. The greatest discovery is to see it clearly in His Word. And the greatest achievement is not success, but a life that actually does it.
Victor Glover just shared a moment from space that hits different, especially today.
Looking down at Earth, talking about the beauty of creation and connecting it back to faith.
You can feel it in the way he says it.
When you’re that far out, everything looks different.
And somehow it makes the message even stronger.
