Education isn't about the ability to remember and repeat, in which people study to pass exams, and teach others to pass exams, but nobody knows anything.
It is the ability to learn from experience, to think, solve problems, and use our knowledge to adapt to new situations.
@Prof_NickTalley Thanks for your consistent scholarly campaign Prof. In the spirit of “looking after ourselves in this crisis” is it prudent to get elderly relatives with HF and post chemo to ask GP for an antiviral script in anticipation of a positive RAT test?
@ProfPCDoherty In dinner table discussion with my now 15 yo’s I always ask for source of claim and credentials of those making it. Boring I know but hopefully facilitating rational decision making when critical.
@ProfPCDoherty Always appreciate someone in your lofty position taking time for considered response. Thank you. At least we have opened a discussion with our kids, taking into account the adverse impact of missing school if not double dosed. Not to mention the beloved elderly grandparents.
@ProfPCDoherty Certainly pro vaccination Prof, just obsessive about assessing risks for the kids and wondering about 2nd dose timing https://t.co/P84O0ruQNL
@ProfPCDoherty My concern arose from the BMJ #covidunknowns TC on 2/9 Prof. Main points 4.7% transmission between children, Israeli data between 1/3000 and 6000 rep myocarditis esp.teen males, still vaccinating my 15yo twins but cautious about timing. 3 or 5 weeks <reactogenicity? @adamhfinn
@ProfPCDoherty 2nd dose for my 15 yo boys scheduled in 2 weeks. Watching BMJ and wondered whether 4- 6 weeks might be preferable?

@ProfPCDoherty Any advice on adolescent males Prof? Have just watched the BMJ #Covidunknowns seminar Vaccination in Children: Evidence, Ethics, and Equity.
Unsure about timing/wisdom on 2nd dose.
