Is “hire that man” speedrunning its way to meaning nothing like “soulless” and “slop”?
Genuinely what about Rayman and Persona look remotely similar in artstyle to be put under this same phrase?
🚨 JUST IN: Julio Tous is no longer going to be the main person in charge of the team’s physical preparation. Instead, his role will be taken over by Holger Broich (if nothing changes), who is fully trusted by Hansi Flick, reports SER. #FCB 🏋️🔵🔴
🚨 JUST IN: Sources within Barcelona assure they had known for some time that Madrid would make this move for Julián Álvarez and that the offer would be rejected.
They interpret it as confirmation that Florentino Pérez is more worried about who Barça might sign than strengthening his own team, reports SER. #FCB 📞🔵🔴
I’d say that was a solid Direct overall
Could’ve used a couple more big reveals and would’ve been nice to see Zelda (tho we’ll certainly get that in September), but a good enough showing
RPG fans in particular are stuffed Lol
I think part of the problem with vibes around the Switch 2 is the system has yet to have a truly AMAZING Direct showing a ton of standout experiences for the console
All the Direct’s of this era have been either decent to mid, or bogged down by external factors like MK being $80
My Nintendo Direct Highlights:
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake
- Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave
- Xenoblade Genesis
- Xenoblade Chronicles 1/2/3 Switch 2 Editions
- Kingdom Hearts Series + Kingdom Hearts IV
- Final Fantasy Resonance
- Muramasa: Revenant Blades
- Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition
- Dragon's Dogma II
- Onimusha: Way of the Sword
- Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World
- Atelier Karia
- Tales of Eternia Remastered
- Metaphor ReFantazio
As an RPG fan, I thought that Direct was great. I would've loved more 1st Party reveals and it was disappointing not seeing more Ocarina of Time.
I know they’ll have an exclusive Direct dedicated to the OOT remake but I just think it’s absolutely fucking hilarious that they showcased Switch Sports Resort thumb wrestling for longer in the Direct
I hope Nintendo stops being dumb enough to allow leaks of things as big as an Ocarina of Time remake weeks before the Direct ever happens
Sakurai had the Fighters Pass buried 8 miles below the earth’s surface until the moment of the reveals and the surprises were always hype
My biggest fear is honestly that for the new version of GTA Online - instead of an open world crime sandbox with various criminal activities, stories, and jobs - Rockstar tries to chase the Fortnite / Roblox / FiveM bag by making it a litany of user-generated servers and content focused on mini games or RP or whatever.
I don’t want another Roblox slopfest, I want GTA with friends. I want to build an empire in Leonida like I did in San Andreas.
Join us on June 9 at 7am PT for a #NintendoDirect followed by Nintendo Treehouse: Live!

This isn't a Nintendo Direct Mini or a Partner Showcase.
This is the first general Nintendo Direct since September 2025.
This means 1st Party and 3rd Party announcements.
It's a big one!
