@LBLFC_@The_Forty_Four Also it’s not a gimmick if the answer is always the same, and more importantly they are being asked a question and answering it - they are not actively promoting their views to anybody. You can ask them any day of the year and their answer will still be the same.
@MATTDUNN_radio@RchardsonBen@England@FIFAWorldCup The biggest problem is the greed of FIFA, it’s meant to be a working class sport but they have found ways to make it completely inaccessible to the actual fans of the countries attending. The atmospheres are going to be dire as most fans have binned it off. The greed is a joke
The club can only do so much when it comes to players signing new contracts - by all accounts they offered Trent and Konate very very good contracts, both decided to run their current deals down. Also we can’t sell them if they don’t want to be sold. It’s frustrating.
@rudkin_abigail The last 12 months would have been tough for anybody and Arne Slot tried his best to navigate the club through it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be but it doesn’t take away from what he achieved in his first season. I wish him all the best, and suspect he’ll do well elsewhere.
@TheAnfieldWrap May just be me but I never felt like this contract would be sorted - rumours of the Real on/off interest and the wage demands just felt like a deal was tough to sort. His performances last season made it even more unlikely we’d want to give him a massive long term offer.
@rudkin_abigail Yep, we all wanted him to succeed but the last season on and off the pitch haven’t been good. Said a few weeks back, he’s now talking about us as fans in interviews and not to us - that’s the beginning of the end for me. Our managers speak to us and as one of us, not about us.
If the club thought Luis Diaz was too much of a risk for a long term big money contract, there is no chance they are renewing a big money contract for Konate
@LewisSteele_ We have all heard the rumours of the wages his team are demanding, if true then as a club we probably made the right decision even if we are losing the player - Mo put in a ridiculous season and got ridiculous money, which arguably didn’t work out. Konate has struggled recently
Personal thoughts, Konate under a better system/manager would be fine - he wasn’t this bad under Klopp. The issue is we can’t give him a massive contract whilst he’s play at the levels he’s currently playing at. He’s been very poor this season.
Mo has just confirmed what most of the fan base has seen, heard and already thinks - nothing he said was surprising, he just pointed to the elephant in the room
@LewisSteele_@FrankYeboahk When you start talking about the fans as ‘they’ then the game is up - you can talk to us or as one of us, but unfortunately, Slot is now saying we lack belief. To have belief, you need something to believe in - Slot isn’t selling us any vision, the football is terrible
Slot talks about us as fans or at us, but he does not talk to us - if he wants to turn this around the first thing he needs to do is starting speak to us, make it clear we are on the same journey and want the same things.
🚨 Arne Slot message to Liverpool fans: “I can understand at this moment in time they don’t have confidence that things can be much better next season…
…but I think they are underestimating what a transfer window can do, what a new start can do… I think we know quite well what we have to improve”.
@stehoare@Wirtz_Watch No credible source that the club are looking to sack him. If that’s the case we need him to turn it around, as we all agree we want better football and results next season. Does that mean we all agree with the clubs decision - no, but what’s the alternative?
@barneyronay The issue here is VAR should have been intervening all season for fouls and obstructions on goal keepers during corners - it would have stopped when teams realised that goals do not count if you foul the keeper. Yesterday was a clear foul, but now it feels inconsistent
Instead of changing the rules, why don’t we just get better refs and apply the rules. Corners aren’t a new thing, it’s only now in the Prem in which they’ve let things go all season have we got this issue
Former assistant referee Darren Cann has suggested a new rule change which means no attackers are allowed in the six-yard box for corners.
What do you think?🤔
