Adewale Kudabo, 47, a married father of children and a healthcare assistant, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison after he s3xually assaulted a nearly immobile female patient at York Hospital, just 9 months after arriving from Nigeria.

He was convicted on two counts of s3xual assault at York Crown Court on Tuesday, after pleading guilty to the offences.

The court heard that the victim, who was almost entirely immobile due to a serious medical condition, was assaulted twice while in her hospital bed.

The judge said he “abused the trust placed in him” and caused the woman lasting tra¥ma.

He’ll serve half his sentence in prison and has been placed on the s3x offenders register for 10 years.
