@SDS_Des@MetaGamesGX I dont want branded to be hit either, deck is very healthy for the game even if its been around for 4 years. I just dont like this angle of defense beacuse it gives too much agency to 1 tierlist as well as not taking into account the enviroment in which that deck is good/bad in
@MetaGamesGX Elfnote has baronne, ryzeal mitsu has 3 haba plus king of the feral imps Plus end ruler, maliss has more starters and white binder instead of red ransom. And we dont even know if we will get verre by the time cori is out.
@kurushiidrive@JingPrudo@Mista_noodles probably so ill just cut to my crux of the argument and say the game having good offense doesn't necessarily mean that defense is worse, I think its just blowing things out of proportion. The game still has its identity of good defense being prevalent even with offense being-
@kurushiidrive@JingPrudo@Mista_noodles https://t.co/UdDylitfNZ you described going against setplay as "pure guessing" when thats just not the case. Im all for the argument that offense needs to be toned down but dont be disingenuous about it being this omnipresent thing that has no counterplay when its not true.
@kurushiidrive@JingPrudo@Mista_noodles timer is still a wincon you can aim for even with the pace of the game being sped up. And the players who were succeeding in clr are still thriving in 2. I think if offense/setplay was too oppressive we would see a shift to more setplay characters but thats just not the case.
@kurushiidrive@JingPrudo@Mista_noodles I mean offense being stronger doesnt take away from the fact that defense is still really good, Big blacks, Still one of the most consistent players despite being very defence oriented. Traditional strike throw characters are consistently winning and topping major events.
