This isn’t easy to share but I believe GOD works through people, and I’m trusting in kindness, prayers and support.
Even a share means more than you know
Competitions can be overly detrimental to one's well-being. God has blessed us with knowledge and wisdom in this Journey. It's fine if others don't appreciate your work; value yourself and maintain peace of mind. Let's steer clear of cheap distractions and unnecessary competition.

One of the simplest ways to find profitable nonfiction niches OR Books on Amazon is using generic search modifiers.
Take a broad topic and pair it with words real readers type when searching.
Examples:
By audience:
• beginners (For beginners)
• seniors (For seniors)
• women (For women)
• teens (For teens)
etc.
By experience level:
• step by step
• complete guide
• simplified
By situation:
• on a budget
• after 50
• for weight loss
By format:
• workbook
• planner
• journal
Example:
Instead of “budgeting”
Try:
• budgeting for college students
• budgeting for single moms
• budgeting workbook
If Amazon autocompletes it, people are searching for it.
Then check:
• review count
• BSR
• publisher type
A simple method, yeah?

Before you pick a category, check how old the top books in it are. Go look at the first 5 books ranking there. If most of them were published 3, 4, or 5 years ago, move on. Those books have been sitting there a long time. They have thousands of reviews. A new book will struggle to push them out.
But if you see books from the last 6 to 12 months ranking near the top? That's your green light. It means the category is still open. New books can still get in and compete.
Here's what to check:
1. When was the #1 book published?
2. How many reviews does it have?
3. Are any newer books showing up near the top?
4. Can a book with fewer reviews still rank well there?
5. If a book with 150 reviews is beating a book with 1,500 reviews, that category still has room for you.
Old categories aren't always bad. But fresh movement is always a good sign.

You know something a lot of people overlook during book research?
Some of the best categories are actually hidden. They don’t always appear when you’re selecting categories during publishing, but you can discover them by studying bestselling books in different niches.
When you carefully check a successful book’s ranking and category paths, you’ll sometimes notice it’s ranking in subcategories you normally wouldn’t find easily. That’s where things get interesting because some of those categories have good traffic but far less competition.
This is one reason competitor research is so important. You’re not just checking covers or titles, you’re studying the structure behind why the book is performing well.
A lot of experienced publishers use this method to uncover opportunities most people miss:
- Find a bestselling book
- Check all the categories it ranks in
- Study similar books around it
- Identify recurring hidden niches
- Compare competition vs demand
Honestly, it’s a very smart way to do research, especially in categories like craft and hobbies, journals, self help, low-content books, and technical guides.
It’s really good and lovely once you understand how it works.
