As an example we deepen our understanding on NCL as an important gatekeeper. So much work so much information as a resource, just read the preprint and play withe the network website, that is in beta mode: https://t.co/t5Wbvu2quq
Alfredo is one of the most talented people I have worked with; he created this amazing resource. It will help us understand how the cell coordinates the DSB response depending on the dynamic interactome of the sensor (HR, NHEJ), give us insight into the topological organization
Some overlapping interactomes of SIRT6, MRE11, and KU80 reveal a conserved repair core alongside sensor-specific specialisation. The shared core functions, combined with distinct individual proteins, make the system robust, reducing the DDR's dependence on any single protein

Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated?

Genluminati follows a group of young scientists who invent a DNA-based religion as a cynical experimentโonly to lose control of it when belief spreads, and a prophet emerges.ย Did the concept begin as #satire for you, or did you always see it turning dark?

This positions SIRT6 as a critical, upstream drug target for combating neurodegenerative pathology.

SIRT6 decline throws Off Mood, Sleep, and Cognition.

Tryptophan byproducts build proteins, NAD+, and neurotransmitters (serotonin and melatonin). Yet, in aging and neurological disease, this balance is lost, leading to impaired mood, learning, and sleep.
Crucially, we show that this damage isn't permanent. By inhibiting the enzyme TDO2 in our SIRT6 knockout fly model, we were able to significantly reverse both neuromotor decline and vacuolar formation, indicating a powerful therapeutic window.
