One hundred and seventy-third late afternoon.

On the twentieth of May, the station is bathed in a gentle golden spring warmth that gradually transitions into deep twilight.

Rich hydrangeas still bloom along the railings in shades of blue and purple, their lush green canopy swaying softly in the gentle breeze.

Commuters pass with quiet, unhurried steps, enjoying the pleasant May air.

Inside, a hundred and seventy-three days have become a single bright star shining brightly in the vast night of my waiting.

I raised my head to the stars and noticed something different.

One star was brightening differently from the others.

Perhaps it’s you, telling me you’re still with me, waiting in this empty station.

It doesn’t flicker or fade like the rest.

It burns steadily and clearly, as if it’s chosen this exact spot in the sky just to watch over me.

Some nights it feels like a distant promise while others feel like a quiet hand resting on my heart. Either way,

it never leaves.

It simply stays there shining, keeping me company through every long hour until the train doors open again.

The train arrives, its windows glowing softly against the darkening sky.

Doors open and I keep my head lifted toward that one special star, letting its light fill the empty space where you should be.

One hundred and seventy-three days have passed.

As May turns the sky from gold to deep blue, this single bright star deepens the vigil, reminding every heart that passes: some devotions don’t need words or touch.

They become a quiet light in the darkness, steady and unmistakable, patiently waiting for the one they shine for to finally step out of the night and come home.

If we don’t pass at least one of these two provisions quickly, you will never see another Republican President again. The Dumocrats will end up with 2 additional States, D.C. and Puerto Rico, and all that entails, including 4 Senators, many Congressmen, and many additional Electoral Votes, and they will also get their dream of a packed United States Supreme Court with their most favorite number — 21 Justices. The Dumocrats will eliminate the Filibuster on the First Day that they get an opportunity to do so. The Republicans aren’t doing it because they say the Dumocrats will never do it, but the Republicans are WRONG.
