Introducing: L2 Data Submissions

Users can now submit token data to TKN using any popular chain. This reduces the cost from ~5 dollars to just a few cents, and will drastically increase the volume of data submissions.

Multichain data submission "just works". This seamless unification of fifteen chains will enable the best user experience in crypto, one where the user no longer needs to think about which chain they are on.

Introducing social validation: TKN's newest primitive & Farcaster Frame

With the advent of decentralized social media, user reputation can be another form of value used to earn yield and secure the TKN dataset.

Users that validate a token's metadata will receive $TKN as a reward.

As this is the first version of the social validation tool, we are experimenting with incentive amounts with the goal of validating the entire dataset. We may issue retroactive rewards for:

- Validating obscure tokens
- Being an early validator for a new token
- Submitting a new datapoint that is later verified as accurate
- Correcting an existing datapoint

To view the frame, visit the /tokens channel on FC, where the frame is pinned. If you want to post a validation frame for a specific token, include (validate.tkn. xyz/ + ticker) in your cast.

What do we mean when we say TKN is a 'global' namespace?

In programming, a global namespace means that any line of code across the entire codebase can access the same state.

TKN is also global in that all apps, protocols, or computers will access the same TKN token data, regardless of the language it's written in, or the location of the physical hardware.

Contrast this to tradfi where each exchange has it's own separate set of tickers that are stored on disparate, closed source systems.

Having a single financial namespace is an economic unlock, as users and developers no longer have to check for collisions. The token you see, is the token you get.

Liquidity can flow to the biggest of the big, and the smallest of the small caps, all on the same infrastructure.

While TKN as a global namespace may sound like it's a slogan for a popular app, it actually has a specific connotation in computer science.
