@John_Rouleau@DeRushaJ@amyklobuchar I didnโt say or imply anything of the sort. She directly answered the question and said it is Walzโs fault. Which it is.
@zacharywefel Maybe the big difference is that Franken was a sitting US senator and Plattner is merely seeking the office. Once Plattner wins, thatโs when they all demand he resigns.
I stand with the Ukrainian people and will always support them except this time when I didn't like one little thing in a bill that would have enabled them to defend themselves so instead I voted to leave them defenseless to make a point because I am not an extremist.
I have always, and will continue, to stand with the Ukrainian people and unequivocally condemn Putinโs illegal and brutal invasion. I voted against the Ukraine Support Act because of its inclusion of broad economic sanctions. Time and again, sanctions like these fail to achieve their stated goals while inflicting real suffering on ordinary people. Opposing Russian aggression does not require us to support policies that punish ordinary civilians who did not ask for this war.
The foreign policy establishment continues to return to the same failed playbook and expects different results. Economic sanctions fail to achieve their desired goals and in most cases are counterproductive to ending war.
I remain committed to supporting diplomacy, peace, and justice for the Ukrainian people affected by this horrific conflict. But I could not in good conscience support legislation that wages economic warfare on innocent civilians.
I don't know if Graham Platner's candidacy survives these latest allegations in the New York Times. It may well do so.
But I do find it the height of hypocrisy that the same Democrats who said that we need to believe all women are rushing to discredit the story because it quotes a GOP operative who dated Platner in the 2010s.
I mean, how do they square that?
The problem with this nonsense is twofold:
1. This was delivered during a trifecta and demonstrates zero ability by Flanagan to deliver anything in a divided legislature, which will be required of a US Senator.
2. She oversaw billions of fraud against Minnesotans. Big Fail.
Since 2018, DFLers have delivered:
โ Emergency insulin funding
โ Free school lunches for every kiddo
โ Paid family & medical leave
Together, we've delivered big, bold change that actually improves Minnesotans' lives. I'm ready to do the same thing as your next U.S Senator.
I look forward to the Minneapolis left explaining why Omar is right about this. Because they will. In their eyes, she can do no wrong and anybody who says otherwise is an Islamophobe, or worse, a Republican.
Iโm just fucking disgusted. Gillibrand led the charge to oust Al Franken for shitty behavior during his comedy career only to cape for a genuinely sick random dude for Maine.
The problem is not Republicans. It's independents and people who don't pay attention to politics who look at this situation and say Dems are hypocrites when they attack Republicans on being bad people. They shake their head and say both sides are the same.
Why is anyone worth throwing that away?
Three parties that want Hezbollah to stop firing rockets from Lebanon into Israel have agreed that they agree about this thing about which they already agree. Historic.
Well Preya. Ive been paying attention for the 16 yrs and the level of incompetence shown that whole weekend surpassed Carnihan levels.
And yes. When you are leading in ballots and then 500 votes disappear and the chair doesnโt restart from the last good round, that is a problem.
