@ColinParent I agree. You don’t want chaos, but I love the street food scene in Asia and actually liked when there were food vendors next to the boardwalk along the beach, unlike almost all the incessant complainers on NextDoor.

@humantransit Hate when there’s no front plate, especially when I’m looking for my rideshare car. It also means all automated parking lots need to have a camera way in the back, which complicates construction.
@Kanjo For transit use, my friends don’t like to use NFC because it requires loading money ahead of time, while with QR it just charges you per ride.
In shops, many have installed an Alipay NFC device:
