The PM just thanked Canadians for choosing to vacation in Canada, days after he got back from Italy. Reminds me of COVID when there were two sets of rules. It’s so symbolic. There are certain people in this country who always demand sacrifices they would never make themselves.
Carney effectively land-locked Canada.
He just pissed away the greatest trade partner on the planet, and now we're stuck "selling to ourselves".
That will go great with "borrowing from ourselves".
Our economy is in ruin, our kids can’t afford housing, zombies in every town, line ups at food banks, people being shot on our streets, but hey at least we have overpriced milk at the grocery stores and easy access to marijuana.
The majority of Canadians have absolutely no clue what's coming with new 50% tariffs on over $28 Billion of our goods sent to America. Mark Carney is an absolute failure! He needs to resign

"Canadian dairy farmers have had their cake and eaten it too. They receive compensation from Ottawa and benefit from significant market protection. Canada promised to allow more American dairy products into the country but failed to provide meaningful market access. It also promised to eliminate Class 7, only to replace it with a similar mechanism, while surplus milk continues to be dumped.
The industry needs to cut the bullshit and be honest with Canadians."
@JonKeenNLSports Future draft picks does not sell tickets for the present, right now now it seems ownership and management want people to come sit and watch there team loose night after night. Really seems this team is becoming a lost cause
📈 @VoteCentreBC is gaining ground.
In June, CentreBC was polling at 3%.
The latest numbers now have us at 5%.
That may not sound huge to the established parties but for a new party that is still building riding associations, recruiting candidates and introducing itself to British Columbians, momentum matters.
And here’s the number that shows the real opportunity:
Earlier Research Co. polling found 23% of British Columbians said they would definitely or probably consider voting for @VoteCentreBC .
That’s a significant number for a new party — and it shows there is room for a strong voice in the centre of B.C. politics.
3% → 5% is real progress.
The numbers tell us British Columbians are open to something different. CentreBC is giving them that choice.
🔵🔴 @CentreBC — A Strong Centre. A Better BC.

If Canadian dairy is really better than American dairy, then why does it need the government to protect it from competition?
Good products don’t need walls.
Bad business models do.

Ontarians must be so confused
-their elbows are up and yet they're still broke.
-they pay their carbon tax and yet the weather still changes.
-they don't drink U.S. booze and yet there's still no trade deal.
-they listen to everything the TV says and yet they're still idiots.
There’s a lot of chatter in B.C. right now about the need for a strong centrist political party.
Here’s the thing: one already exists.
It’s CentreBC, led by former MLA and Cabinet Minister Mike Bernier.
If you believe B.C. needs a practical alternative to the NDP and Conservatives — focused on common sense, responsible government and solutions instead of political extremes — take a look at CentreBC.
The centre isn’t empty. We’re here. Now we need British Columbians to know it.

Today I joined @VoteCentreBC#bcpoli. The resignation of @PeterMilobar from the @Conservative_BC earlier in the day was the inspiration (the @BCGreens lost me ages ago).
When I was first elected in 2013, I sat next to @Mike_A_Bernier in the legislature. We became friends (and both later became friends with @jjhorgan). The three of us recognized that it was important to transcend partisan boundaries if we wanted to implement lasting policy solutions.
My decision to join CentreBC is all about good governance and has nothing to do with partisan tribalism.
IMHO @jjhorgan was a great, if not one of the greatest Premiers of BC. @Dave_Eby, on the other hand, IMHO is an unmitigated disaster. Yet @KerryLynneFindl is the other side of the same coin as Eby, also IMHO.
I trust @Mike_A_Bernier. He is fiscally conservative, and socially/environmenmtally responsible. He is pragmatic and recognizes that perfection is the enemy of progress.
While there are good people doing good work in both the @bcndp and @Conservative_BC, If we collectively want to position our province for the future, these folk need to unite behind a pragmatic centrist option as rage farming and polarized politics benefits nobody.
You’d think evidence-based decisions, meaningful consultation, thoughtful policy development, and measuring results would be standard practice in politics.
In today’s BC political landscape, it's anything but.
That’s why CentreBC is building something different.

Effective today, I’m sitting as an Independent MLA. This isn’t the end of the conversation, it’s the start of one. I’ll have more to say soon.
