Rural radio stations are most at risk from CPB funding cuts. Hear from @Tom2Michael about how @MarfaRadio helped warn locals and save lives during an outbreak of grassland fire in far West Texas in 2011. https://t.co/ndpFq0Q1eX

I will never ever be the same. My best friend, brother, confidante, partner in crime, inspiration. The most thoughtful human. The most beautiful soul. This is so unexpected and I'm absolutely devastated. Our community will suffer with this loss.
Update: an Idaho jury has ordered anti government extremist Ammon Bundy and his associates to pay more than $50 million to a Boise hospital in connection with armed protests that led to a security lockdown last year.
@MurphyWoodhouse I read the book (and interviewed the author/survivor), but never saw the movie version. There’s a now-Boise fire meteorologist who did some comms on that event; so sad, so tragic.

Along with @npr, leaders of regional #publicmedia newsrooms across the country, work in groups here in Arkansas today to determine how to advance and sustain collaborative journalism. #WaltonFamilyFdn

(Probably like Murphy, I was on bike tonight, too, but way out in southeast, where storm didn’t arrive until close to
8 PM.)
