Excellent insight from @johanntasker in the @FarmersWeekly podcast Can AI replace your agronomist? Take time to listen to this there are some really good pointers on where to go with this tech

Congratulations @FWphilclarke@FarmersWeekly for getting best letter in @spectator for his excellent response to @mattwridley piece on gene-editing (Well bred). Commiserations on the prize, tho - not sure I know a single gentleman who relishes it.
Thank you @JoannaPartridge@guardian for your article highlighting the farmer-led research from @bofinfarmers working with @HarperAdamsUni that has led to slug-risk maps that can cut use of molluscide pellets by 50% GO Farmers 💪🌾🔬

Historic moment as the EU votes in favour of gene-edited crops. This has the effect of putting the EU in line with UK & means @bofinfarmers@probityproject_ shd be allowed to proceed as planned. Great piece by @FWphilclarke on @FarmersWeekly https://t.co/hTwNKPAACX
@doktor_val Thank you for your enthusiasm @doktor_val but these are definitely not GM. This is a precision-bred crop of gene-edited. Very different from GM because it could have been bred naturally
There are two other UK farmers harvesting c1.5ha of the same PB crop this week. If the resulting forage turns out as planned it could revolutionise silage, delivering £200m extra productivity across the national dairy herd, 22m litres of additional milk & 54,000t CO2 reduction.
The 1st ever harvest of a precision-bred crop from a commercial farm took place today. 13kg barley hand cut from the @Rothamsted@CerealsEvent site @ClarksonsFarm1 Diddly Squat. It’ll be preserved as silage to test its high lipid high ME as part of @bofinfarmers@probityproject_
Nice piece on an important issue @stantyway in this week’s @FarmersWeekly Have you considered an ADOPT fund for this? @bofinfarmers we have successfully applied for 8 projects with many more in the pipeline. This looks like a worthy project we’d happily help you apply for.
Great to see a brilliant farmer-led project get the profile it deserves on @BBCOxford. See natural flood management in action & hear about an even bigger farmer-led project in Oxon at my on-farm event on Thurs 14 May @bofinfarmers https://t.co/SdhJWpwlpe https://t.co/RjCku0NqA1

@TomAllenStevens on BBC Farming Today, as precision bred barley is drilled on BOFIN trialists’ commercial farms for the first time.
A big step forward, but SPS uncertainty still hangs over PB’s future in England.
