@BryanSchrempf@KVanValkenburg Then it’s a good thing he’s apologized multiple times publicly, sent the club a letter and sent the member a bottle of bourbon.
@EndWokeness So what is the consensus here? Is she truly a moron and doesn’t know even basic facts in this case or she a liar and is stoking the flames while knowing what she is saying is complete BS?
@ImaBigCat@CourtneyRCronin The Bears players go to Soldier Field now maybe 10-11 times per year. They stay in a downtown hotel the night before games. The "commute" for players is largely irrelevant.
@FrankCalabrese Similar to Indiana deal with a few important differences. Indiana would own the land the Bears pay the state a lease fee and own the stadium. Indiana was also offering 1 billion in subsidies to build the stadium.
Bears own the land in AH and there are no state subsidies
@AdamHoge The way this deal makes sense for the Bears is they get all stadium related revenue with a $1 30/40yr buy back option. Similar to Indiana deal. State gets property tax on everything not the stadium plus sales tax from tix, hotels and restaurants
@BrianSchmidt9@brendenmoore13 Also believe the Indiana deal has a $1 buy out after 30 years? The Bears would be crazy to pay for a stadium the state owns just to avoid property taxes without a structured buyout
