It was an absolutely scorching day to celebrate the groundbreaking for 651 new homes at Barking Riverside with L&Q, more than half of which will be affordable.

A new GP practice is also on the way nearby in advance of the larger, permanent health facility in the district centre.

Our Planning and Infrastructure Act judicial review reforms are bearing fruit.

Last month, a challenge against the Stonestreet Green Solar DCO was dismissed by the High Court as ‘totally without merit’ saving months of needless delay on a project that will power c.42,000 homes.

With all the land at Old Oak now in single public ownership this is an incredible opportunity in what will be the best connected place.
