Music writers, journalists, curators, and anyone giving their life to the pursuit of academic and studied artistic perspective should be paid v well. Critics and educated opinions are more important now than ever before as they help weed out the slop and spotlight the brilliance. They provide vital cultural context / consideration behind an artist’s work that so often would otherwise be missed. This thoughtful and deliberate context of a work acts as a bridge between artist and audience, and establishes a greater understanding of an artist’s intentions, scope, and body of work.
We should be eager to pay for things that matter.
Pleasure chatting with globetrotting trio @Khruangbin about home comforts, where their journey began, and how far they’ve come since seeing them at a 250-cap venue @PatternsBTN in Brighton way back when.

"It's better to burn out, than to fade away," Neil Young famously sang. Now, at 79 years young, he’s burning brighter than he has in perhaps the past three decades. Read our full review of the legend's @BSTHydePark headline show here:

A real bucket list-er to talk to The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s mercurial main man @antonnewcombe about their wild history of live shows ahead of their next UK tour: the hecklers, the histrionics, and the haymakers.

@DiscussingFilm I’m no Harry Potter fan so have no vested interest in this series, but casting Paapa Essiedu makes perfect sense: there’s only one Alan Rickman and he’ll always be considered the OG, so may as well do something completely different with the role. Besides, Paapa is a sick actor
