Sunday marks the 105-year commemoration of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The events of that day in Tulsa, Oklahoma, still reverberate throughout a community seeking justice. https://t.co/Nrkz07Ub2F
@Lucyy5412 Thank you!! I’m both exhausted and ready to run 🥴 lol…looking forward to a short getaway in a few weeks while also looking forward new opportunities!!!!
I did a thing yesterday…officially finished my Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in legislative affairs…to GOD be all the glory!! 🙌🏾🔥❤️🎓✨ #masteredit#8percent#GWgrad
Right wing forces infiltrated Black spaces through sports and hip-hop. Every election cycle there’s a new “character” tasked with the job of sowing doubt and animosity towards the political process among younger Black men.
I’m not here to tell you who to vote for, all I’ll say is that this trick worked and you all see the consequences: Black history being ripped out of history books and museums, targeted firings of Black people in government jobs, skyrocketing Black unemployment, grants and funds for Black people destroying under anti-DEI initiatives. We have to push back on these clowns who are paid to sabotage our community.
Ngl in order to become a better person, you must first realize how horrible you really are. not in the dramatic sense, but in the quiet ways you sabotage yourself, repeat unhealthy patterns, hurt people who care about you, or tolerate what wounds you. you cannot grow if you keep pretending you're innocent in the story you created
@DigitalAssetRob@briebriejoy Lol…ok, you win bud. 🤷🏾♂️ I’m actually looking forward to those robust debates in 2028 that were missed in ‘24, and I hope to see your sharp online debate acumen used toward real efforts to shape a more equitable and amenable outcome for us in ‘28 than in ‘24
@DigitalAssetRob@briebriejoy Partially true… there actually was a primary in the states. Biden (with Harris on the ticket) won those.
But true, DNC leadership made a CHOICE not to have another one for Harris.
…and ummm any credible sources noting she wasn’t Rev. Jackson’s 1st choice??👀🤔👇🏾👇🏾
Reverend Jesse Jackson called on each of us to be heralds of change, to be messengers of hope; to step forward and say “Send me” wherever we have a chance to make an impact.
How fortunate we were that Jesse Jackson answered that call. What a great debt we owe to him.
President Trump has revealed the true purpose of his attack on Iran: regime change.
But that is not the likely outcome. And the way Trump went about it — without a broad coalition, without congressional authorization — undermines the US-led order.
My take:
In 1946 WWII veteran Maceo Snipes was shot in his back by the KKK the day after he became the first Black person to cast a vote in Taylor County, Georgia.
After he was shot, Mr. Snipes walked three miles to the hospital with his mother. For six hours doctors left him waiting and bleeding. By the time he was seen, he needed a blood transfusion. The doctors said the hospital had no “black blood.” Snipes died two days later.
This is why I will vote in every election. The day I stop voting is the day I stop breathing. #DemsUnited #BlackHistoryWithLana
