@MrJamesMay It is a combination in a way, but you need to add conservation of mass as well. The curvature in the aerofoil helps to keep flow accelerating and decelerating less abruptly along the wing and that improves the flight smoothness by a less sudden stall and less turbulence
@virtualstatman Lower temperatures means higher air density. Less cooling flow needed, so more power and less cooling drag. Aero is also more effective, may mean slightly less wing for similar downforce, with lower drag.
