Had an elderly patient this afternoon explain her struggles of choosing between heating her home or having food to eat. The sad thing is this isn’t even uncommon, and it’s not even winter yet. In a country such as ours our elderly shouldn’t have to have those worries. Disgraceful

It’s Delirium Awareness day on the 16th! To raise awareness with staff on our intensive care unit this week I will be doing short sessions on the non-pharmacological treatments, as it affects 80% of our patients, leads to poor outcomes and longer stays @MidYorkshireNHS #WDAD2022
