@AdamBlackmore I’m keen for RM to work out, lots about him to like but I’m losing faith a bit.
The subs are odd (Manning off, JS and AA our left side = no threat)
Tall Paul and BBD up front but not playing more direct even when 2-0 down
VAR screwed us but we were crap 2nd half

Ref has been shocking so far. Blatant FK on Downes missed. Yellows for JB, Mannkng and Gnonto were nonsense. No card (could’ve been red) for Byram awful tackle on Che #saintsfc

@BigJimUTS We play a very open system which exposes our defence to defend 1v1 and they aren’t good enough to do this. KWP and Manning are much better going fwd than def, Bednarek is good but lacks pace. Goalkeeping is clearly a weakness. I’d prefer Charles alongside Downes in a 4231

@KingslandMush Never really got a fair run for us, and even when he did play it was in a very poor team low of confidence. Doesn’t naturally fit our style of play but then neither does Haaland with Man City. I’d like to see him given a proper chance next season if he wants to be here

@Saint_Chris84 @sturge198 Glad someone called out Stu’s atrocious performance when he came on. Mara and Manning were always going to get some grief but Stu was miles worse than both today. Manning was excellent, chased across the pitch, won a big tackle right mid to spring counter when wee man was offside

@AlfieHouseEcho Wonder if he will consider switching to a 3-4-3 at some point? Means he can play all 3 CBs and both FBs (KWP and Manning) are better going forward than defending anyway. He played this at Swansea at times I think? Not sure it’s suits all of the squad but maybe a plan B?
