@aka_willbodie @Tesco Yes you are correct I didn’t indicate in this case. The difference in severity of a cyclist colliding with a vulnerable road user compared to a 3 ton delivery van invalidates your point. Hence his manoeuvre was far more dangerous than my lack of signal.

Other factors as to why there are more broken bones in the pro peloton nowadays that you failed to mention:
•More overall crashes.
•Larger pelotons.
•More races on a riders calendar.
•Modern style of racing for ex. the contest between sprint trains to position sprinter

It’s not that I don’t agree with you about the importance of strength and conditioning for injury prevention , it is just the vast majority of pros nowadays work super hard in this domain to improve their overall cycling attributes – they don’t just do an evening stretch.
