Had the pleasure of hosting our 3rd @TheFirstGreen field trip yesterday with 170, 5th-graders from Danville. Thx @PoconoTurfgrass for volunteering time & $ support, our amazing grounds crew for supporting logistics, local businesses for donations and @gcsaa for an amazing program

Still too wet for carts today (our superintendent allegedly got a cart stuck), but hopefully you can get out to walk on this beautiful ☀️ day. Bunkers have been raked and greens ironed out this morning for the first time this year!

A memorable week uncovering @FrostyGolfPA first days of existence going from a farm to a golf course! Incredible being able to learn about your clubs beginning in real time viewing these long forgotten projector slides!

Finally made it to my first @GCSAA Chapter Delegates meeting representing @PoconoTurfgrass Mechanical issues on the way out led to unfortunately missing day 1, so of course held our own meeting w/ Kevin (Ontario) and Greg (Maine) at the nearest rest area! Learned a lot on Day 2

Thanks to the team of @Dan51926654 Jon, Charlie and Carson 20 greens aerified, shoveled, blowed, 65 tons of topdressing sand, and rolled Monday-Wed. Turned around and cleaned up 19 acres of fairways Thur & Fri. And fit in a sand pro demo on all bunkers

The best-known way a superintendent can cause it to rain at their course is to start a project they don’t want rain while completing. Therefore, I have started to install our shock pad for artificial turf matting at our driving range. Your move Mother Nature….

Just a month and a half ago I was rooting hard for @McIlroyRory at Augusta, now I’m showing my kids his interview, him smashing a tee & what @Wyndham_Clark did to Oakmont’s locker room & showing them how not to act. I understand the pressures of sport but be better.
