Consider that as a result of the housing crisis of 2008, 10 million Americans lost their homes, and @SalvationArmyUS saw 10 million new requests for service. As we face a rising tide of homelessness, it is less expensive to keep people in their homes than to force them out. (2/2)

[Commissioner Merle Heatwole @natlcommander]

As our nation struggles with COVID-19, we must be mindful of the broader damage it could do. A study by the @ABAesq suggests that 20 million Americans could face eviction between now and September, a crisis that will create even greater social and economic problems. (1/2)

In my final years in being a congregational leader, the best news was that “I had permission to fail”. In our present day of crisis, we need Joshua leaders. Decisive people willing to decide even if wrong. Wrong decisions can be corrected-no decision is aimlessness. @SalvArmyIHQ

BRT President & CEO: “Today is a reminder of America’s difficult past with racial equity and the fair treatment of all of her people. We pause also to reflect on the current moment and recommit ourselves to do all in our power to create unity and ensure justice.” #Juneteenth2020

[The Salvation Army St. Louis @SalArmySTL]

Today, we celebrate with our brothers & sisters in observance of #Juneteenth. As followers of Christ, we denounce racism in all forms. We believe racism is fundamentally incompatible with the Christian conviction that all people are made in the image of God. #SalvationArmy
