@RhunapIorwerth and I had an urgent meeting with St Davidโs Hospice following the worrying news about the siteโs future. A very difficult and emotional meeting.
Weโll continue to ensure that the concerns of our constituents are heard clearly.
We're delighted to share that Geraint Richards MVO FICFor, Past President of the ICF, has been awarded an OBE for services to the Forestry Sector in The Kingโs Birthday Honours!

๐ฅ BANGING the #MND drum ELEVEN years ago today, in memory of my Dad.
SIX people a day are now diagnosed with this hideous disease, and SIX people die a day!
#MND is NOT rare; they reason so few are living with this horror is because so many are dying!

Wow!! Just wow!
Amazing fundraising activities like this (the generosity of those taking part & those donating to the cause) provide both practical support and a degree of optimism to those of us currently living with this indiscriminate and debilitating condition. Thank you!
Huge congratulations and thank you to a big group of Directors from @ToyotaUK who earlier this month took on the Thames Path Ultra Challenge, a 100km walk.
They've raised a staggering ยฃ119,000 for the Association as part of our Charity of the Year partnership!

@lwhemmings Landowners and managers are already being encouraged to proactively remove spruce from the South East of England and replant with other non-susceptible species. They may also be eligible for funding if their land is in the โProactive Spruce Removal areaโ. https://t.co/hvRUFyIGc2
The best way of minimising the chances of populations of this insect pest from increasing is by active management of spruce stands to remove potential material used for breeding and larval development, e.g., dead, dying, snapped, windblown, and otherwise stressed spruce trees.
The eight-toothed bark beetle (Ips typographus) has been found on Sitka spruce in the UK for the first time. Stay vigilant and report any sightings of this pest in Great Britain using TreeAlert. Read more: https://t.co/5YvYuDCb1x

Alex Lewis, Amirah, and a couple of caterpillars - one of which (the oak processionary moth larva, on Alex's shoulder) definitely shouldn't be approached in real life!
