If you oppose the UASF but shirked your responsibility to enforce that rejection yourself, then celebrate miners for rejecting it, you’ve accepted a new constitutional order.
You’ve accepted that the rules of Bitcoin are whatever a small group of miners are willing to mine. You’ve turned miners from employees into your gatekeepers.
You handed the job of defending Bitcoin to the people Bitcoin was designed to keep accountable.
That is a much bigger change to Bitcoin than BIP-110 ever was
Like many, I've barely slept since the Coldcard incident. My mind has been racing on how to stop this from ever happening again.
I believe I've come up with a novel wallet design that solves Bitcoin's self-custody trilemma.

You probably don't want to listen to me, I'm one of those crazy conspiracy theorists that think governments will do subversive things to the Bitcoin network.
Smarter people know they're chill about people trying to replace the USD.
Yes, true, but the weird thing is how existential the BIP-110 risk is according to many of them, but apparently not existential enough to ensure it doesn't happen by actually running a URSF. They must realize that there's not enough support on their side for a URSF. My bet is that Bailey, Saylor, and Andy have had direct or indirect communications with the large mining pools to try to apply influence. That would be tragic for them if one of these communications were to be leaked. Everyone knows now that you can't trust Andy
When the entire pool is filled with crap, everyone abandons it. The swimmers and the crappers. If Bitcoin loses its monetary premium, it’s also useless as cloud storage
BIP-110 is a movement by the plebs, for the plebs, standing up and arming themselves with software to tell these institutions in one resounding, unified voice:
BITCOIN IS MONEY, OUR NODES BELONG TO US, AND WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP.
