Started as a hobby many years ago and when this industry grabs u it grabs u. From the bottom to the top we are all still learning new methods which keep us going to achieve the best surfaces. #GroundsWeek
Sometimes you have to take a look back to see how far youโve come!!. The before photos are taken a year ago to the day, compared to photos taken today. I think everyone involved has lots to be proud of! Onwards and upwards! ๐ช
Greens got verti cut this morning, growth regulator starting tomorrow To improve density of sward and slow down growth a touch. A light scarify, sarel roll and sand dress next week. Fairways Progressing nicely ๐@LangleyParkGC@ianajordan
Great effort from the team this week and this morning. Course is looking great for the club shield. ๐ greens cut and ironed, aprons cut, semi cut, 1st & 12th tees cut, holes changed, and all bunkers raked! #teamworkmakesthedreamwork@LangleyParkGC@ianajordan
A double verti-cut, cut and a roll today to combat the uneven, lateral growth and the poa seed heads. Height of cut gradually lowering. Big improvement on playing surfaces this week!
Greens come up great this morning after there first cut since overseeding, dressing and feeding last week. ๐ still waiting on that growth but nice and firm and rolling well!
With temperatures finally picking up. Perfect time to overseed the greens followed by a light dressing and a granular feed! All aprons have been hollowcored an will also be sand dressed and granular fed! Let the season begin ๐ @LangleyParkGC@ianajordan
With maintenance day tomorrow, we made A nice head start on hollow coring approaches today! Will be finished off tomorrow as well as greens overseeded then a light dressing and granular feed on both greens and approaches. ๐@LangleyParkGC@ianajordan
Out with the old, in with the new! A great day of in house irrigation work! Replacing some old G75โs and upgrading to @RainBirdGolf 751โs. Course looking and playing great ahead of @LangleyParkGC masters this weekend. Hoping for no frost on Sunday to allow for course prep! ๐ค
Considering where these greens were in December... happy to get them back firm an rolling consistently at around 10ft. Two winter hollow corings and agressive sand dressings have paid off. Lockdown silver linings! Just in time for Langley masters ๐ @LangleyParkGC@ianajordan
