Jehu said "see my zeal for the LORD" (2 Kings 10:16). He killed all who remained to Ahab. He killed all the Baal worshippers. He completely reshaped the culture. But he neglected to destroy the golden calves at Bethel and Dan. He had pet idols that suited him. He was a cultural "dragon slayer", but he held fast to the dragons that had his heart and did not follow the law of the LORD where it did not suit him (2 Kings 10:31). As a result, Hazael came and conquered what he built.

Brothers, I hear a lot of talk about the "dragons" that are out there in the culture. And I am all for electing representatives in our government who will honor the LORD and bring down evil. But I also see a lot of the same people touting this rhetoric who refuse to slay the dragons in their own hearts, poisoning the hearts young men with their half-hearted zeal. Like Jehu, they are all for putting on a big show of their courage and willingness to destroy the enemy, but their hearts cling to vile idols that they like. The dragons are not just out there. Mortify the flesh.

@ColtonYarbro I started the journey from the ESV back to the NASB95 and mostly love it. What I love are the features, The italics for supplied words, small caps for OT quotes in the NT. I love the occasional shock from seeing a cool new translated word like: pugnacious 1 Tim 3:3

@jamesjkerr @jeremycoleman @williamwolfe I mean the standard definition: abuse, harassment, physical or verbal intimidation. If I saw an adulterer was the victim of physical/verbal intimidation I would defend him from his attackers. I'd do the same for LGBT. Both should be given "dignity". Both need Christ's salvation.

But the context of the message suggests actions we as Christians would consider bullying, not a made up definition. TBH your post sounds more like a general rant against trans rather than a criticism of the sermon in the post.
