@dumb_down68985@evanrawal It always amazes me that people feel free to post whatever crosses their mind...all the while knowing the likelihood of you being able to say this to his face is negligible. The people who knew him best- his teammates- accepted him back. That's good enough for me.
@RockiesHockey24@jamesmerilatt I appreciate that for you and many others, tailgating is their favorite part of game day. I understand, but the economics of building a privately funded modern facility make it difficult to set aside that much space for parking at an inner-city location. That's a serious answer.
@RockiesHockey24@jamesmerilatt Change is never easy. It brings with it discomfort and naysayers. Time will tell if it is for the best. One thing we can see is that this ownership group is willing to heavily invest in the future. $100M improvements to current stadium, $175M new world-class training center
@Brent29846093@jamesmerilatt Tailgating is great. It's a long-standing tradition here and in so many other cities. The trade-off is that it is hard, if not nearly impossible, to cite a modern stadium in a downtown location with massive parking lots. One reason, most new builds are cited in suburbs.
@JMB4ME1974@Broncos4six For what its worth, SoFi had two sets of seat licenses when it opened. One for the Rams and one for the Chargers. That's with a real estate development that has more land value since it is based in Los Angeles as #2 market in the country. That also affected naming rights value
@JMB4ME1974@Broncos4six Yes...a new stadium will drive additional revenues. They will generate millions, but they are spending billions. It takes time to pay off that debt. It's really complex. There is a reason most teams have cities and states help offset the cost. These owners are amazing.
@JMB4ME1974@Broncos4six Name a single stadium in the last 20 years that didn't involve taxpayer money....that didn't recoup some of the cost without a PSL? That's going to be tough. Again, you have owners who will have to spend $4B+ to build. Hell they just spent $175M on a training facility.
@JMB4ME1974@Broncos4six Naming rights will be better...but you have to understand that Denver is not home to a great many Fortune 500 companies. It's at the lower end of the spectrum for major businesses. It's the #17 market in the USA. I've sold naming rights; it's not a picnic. Denver is a challenge
