It’s National Volunteer week! I’m thinking of all Iowans who gave so much to their neighbors & also the national groups who showed up with food & helping hands. You gave me hope. 💙 Thank you. #NationalVolunteerWeek2021 https://t.co/R3fi6VlM1I
“I’m looking forward to partnering with mayors to address transportation challenges. That will be one of the keys to getting this right.”
Transportation Secretary-designate @petebuttigieg addressing hundreds of mayors at #MayorsWinter21.
National Climate Advisor @Gina_McCarthy on working with mayors: “You have a promise from me that we’re not going to leave local communities behind and, in fact, it’s my belief that change happens from the bottom and works its way up…We have to work at every level of government.”
.@ClimateEnvoy to mayors “The green economy, the new energy economy that we need to create all over the world is not a choice between… having the environment or the economy, and all of you understand that. It is the economy. It is the future. It is the jobs of the future."
"People in leadership are starting to say things in meetings like, ‘I have a sense of impending doom.’" - Dr. Gregory Schmidt of @uihealthcare wishes people ignoring the warnings signs could see what he and his co workers see each day.

This afternoon I met Ingrid and son Pablo — she recently became a citizen and will be voting for the first time this year! She’s also a member of @LULAC in Black Hawk County, which empowers Latino voters. Thank you, Ingrid, for leading by example and making #IA01 stronger! #vote
.@TimiForIowa is at JSA with a group of volunteers calling folks who haven't turned in absentee ballots to remind them to turn them in--there are only 900 remaining in Waterloo! Volunteers are also picking up ballots, if needed.
This job isn't about politics. It's about Iowans.
That's why I've introduced more than 25 bipartisan bills, and will continue to work with Democrats, Republicans, and anyone in between — because Iowa families want results, not partisanship. #IA01

Today I’m proud to endorse these highly qualified candidates for Iowa House and Senate, who together will fight for Iowa’s working families on the issues that matter every single day. #ia01#VOTE
Visited Delaware County & saw Katie Mitchell, daughter of Robin Stone, who we lost last year to cancer & used her voice for real change. It meant a lot to also see her son Dan, & his family, & meet little Aniya, who looks so much like her grandma we miss so much 💜 #ia01#20in20
I ran for Congress to help Iowans. It’s how I was raised here in #ia01 and it’s what matters most to me every day as your Congresswoman. We’ve been through a lot the last year and I know we are in this together. There’s more work to do & I’ll never give up on Iowa or our country.
I voted today! Today Iowa's early vote officially started, and whether it's voting by mail, early-in person, or safely on election day, make sure to make your voice heard this fall.

Today we received @gazettedotcom's endorsement for our record of delivering bipartisan solutions for #ia01 families.
Over the past two years I've introduced more than 20 bipartisan bills in Congress, because my job isn't about partisanship — it's about getting things done.
I am so humbled to have earned @gazettedotcom's endorsement this morning and thankful for their recognition of our efforts to deliver bipartisan progress and solutions for #IA01 families.
We've got exactly one month till Election Day — let's do this!
