Newcastle had to sell him to comply with FFP while he is currently signing for a football club who have been charged with 115 breaches of premier leagues financial rules. An independent panel was convened to hear these charges which was concluded in 2024. For reasons unknown to everyone we still don’t have a verdict on this. There is something deeply wrong about that
Bruno Guimaraes cannot be sold under any circumstances this summer.
There will be no coming back for these owners if they sanction an outgoing deal for a player who is truly the life and soul of this football club and what it means.
🤔 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪: Back in 2024, Newcastle United had no intention of selling Elliot Anderson, but the club found itself forced into a difficult decision due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Rather than parting with any of their established star players, they chose to sell two of their most promising young talents — Anderson and Yankuba Minteh.
Anderson’s £35M move was particularly significant from a financial standpoint. As an academy graduate, the entire fee was recorded as pure profit in the club’s accounts, providing a major boost to their PSR position.
Even so, it looks so foolish right now.
Newcastle had to start Karius in a cup final because Dubravka was cup tied, but Man City get to play Semenyo, despite him playing for Bournemouth in the Carabao this season.
Seems totally fair.
Harvey Barnes' lucky number is definitely 11 👏
▪️Not only does he wear the 11 shirt for Newcastle
▪️ But his second child, Noah, was born at 11.11am on the 11th of September
Hmmm. Behave badly and get the move you want. Behave like a gentleman and miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime. No prizes for guessing how players will act in the future if this is the result. #DeadlineDay
