@GroatRendall@agrobaz Groaty, probably have 50% of growers now with Robots and I think maybe 70% by summer 2025. Game changer in this neck of the woods with fallow weed control when coupled with timely residual applications. Have had an incredibly wet summer and kept fallow costs <$65/ha on some areas

@InspireAgAus Always give option A, B and C and the upside and downside of each option. The ultimate decision is up to the grower as we are only there to advise.
@agrobaz@PacificSeeds@agrobaz@lukeschulz9 similar feelings in the NW of NSW where typically we run a lower input system. Current input prices and a flurry of good seasons has resulted in growers taking higher than normal risk ($ out/$ in the paddock). However, inputs matching previous crop removal.
WE’RE HIRING

@Antfarm81 @GrainCorp I think on farm storage is the best option if able to do so. What still has protein now and is being downgraded due to falling numbers will be forgotten about in a few months time. Once delivered into the system unfortunately you loose control of it if downgraded.
@lockrey_tony@BreedersPlant Hi Tony, into this paddock as we speak. Weighing like lead with a very healthy yield. Fortunately missed the storms last night. Hoping the Moree district has escaped relatively unscathed.
LRPB Lancer sown on the 29/04/21 into 2020 canola stubble. GS27 and awaiting an incrop spray and urea application prior to next weeks forecast. Here’s hoping for a kind Walgett spring. 🌾🌱 @BreedersPlant
@BlampiedFarms Commonly observed with LRPB varieties Lancer and Hellfire at Walgett when moisture stressed. Some may think it’s a bad trait, we typically think it’s a good one as the plant aborts grains that it doesn’t think it can fill leading to no screening issues.
@MaurieStreet@agrobaz@LucyThack Hi Maurie, very good points in your commentary. Becomes a tough decision when canola is 50% flower and the seasonal outlook for spring looks wet. If that scenario eventuates than I will be glad it’s on the crop and not in the shed.
@agrobaz@LucyThack Canola crop is an important, however setting up for chickpeas in 2 seasons time is also important. Hence, trying to keep disease free stubble now.
@agrobaz@LucyThack Hi Barry,
No not reliable responses. Using Bixafen and Prothioconazole in this scenario above. Aim to keep clean from Sclerotinia as it will hang around on stubble for 3-4yrs and affects our chickpea rotation (susceptible to disease).
