Awful news, especially with Dembele also being injured. Huge moment for Doue to become the star of the team & huge chance for both Akliouche & Godts to seize their chances.
Could they spend in Jan? Unlikely, but the funds are there
↔️ Messi, Neymar, Ronaldinho… many of the world’s biggest talents have played for both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
⚔️ Today’s the two clubs highlight the UCL fixtures as they play in Parc de Princes.
📘 Tom Scholes’ “City of Stars” tells the controversial story of PSG.
City’s squad cost more than PSG’s squad last night. Their squad is far, far deeper than PSG’s. City could rotate their squad if they *really* wanted to. But they chose not to.
Any Premier League could, really, such is their depth. They just don’t manage their squads the same way
👀 "Thats why people call it the farmers league!"
😬 "Could have been 5 at half-time!"
Jermaine Pennant explains how PSG benefits from playing in a "farmers league" as they batter Man City 4-2 in the Champions League!
It’s still remarkable that the only bit of consistency TNT have shown over the course of their Champions League coverage is how god awful their commentary teams are
Tottenham fans have seen this exact play by Romero. Criticise the board, getting (some, not all) fans on side before putting in bad performances over and over & criticising his manager & teammates.
It may seem like a good interview, but it’s the start of him wanting a move away
@StevenMcinerney I don’t think other fans will ever let up on it. 20 years on from Calciopoli and that’s still spoken about as being a stain on Italian football & the clubs involved.
Think most (sensible) rival fans accept City fans are caught in the middle of the mess
Says he wants to leave. Has the chance to leave multiple times. Turns them all down. Won’t play until January at the earliest.
Might be the stupidest footballer I’ve ever seen
Understand Richarlison won't be leaving for Vasco da Gama tonight. Spurs agreed a fee with the Brazilian club but the striker has not been able to agree personal terms.
Marquinhos
Pacho
Hakimi
Nuno Mendes
Vitinha
Joao Neves
Fabian Ruiz
Kvaratskhelia
Dembélé
Doué
Could easily argue a top three of Vitinha, Kvaratskhelia & Dembélé (it won’t be, but still)
The Premier League should not use a Getty (Michael Regan) images (uncredited) snapshot to justify the VAR decisions. There is no way the VAR had the Getty images picture. The real VAR image appears to be from in the goal camera. A much less conclusive angle.
🚨 Chelsea agree a deal to sign Lamine Camara. €55m fixed. No add-ons. 6+1 contract. Deal driven by Behdad Eghbali.
Camara deal was looking all but off, but doubts over Flo Balogun's move to Everton made Monaco need a sale.
Chelsea swooped in, and they now get a midfielder following the departure of Enzo Fernandez.
Crazy deadline day saga.
🚨 Tottenham Hotspur reach agreement with Chelsea to sign Tosin Adarabioyo. Permanent move from #CFC; personal terms done + permission granted to take #THFC medical. Mykhailo Mudryk loan agreed between clubs - personals still need finalising @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/hxaY6EXFWN
🚨 Tottenham Hotspur make enquiry to Chelsea over deal to sign Mykhailo Mudryk. #THFC interest based on loan for 25yo #CFC winger; available to move after return from suspension. Ukraine intl played under Roberto De Zerbi at Shakhtar Donetsk @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/TxHv6kGwGG
Ideal player for what a team like Arsenal or PSG need, but doubt they want to work with Roc Nation after this summer.
And with Lyon not qualifying for the Champions League, it would probably cost a lot less as well. A potential good deal to be had
