An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.
In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.
The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

BREAKING: PGMO admit Manchester United's second goal during yesterday's game should not have been given. PGMO chief refereeing officer Howard Webb has talked to Forest today to acknowledge the misjudgement.
I’d be interested to know why out of £30m invested only one full size 3G football pitch exists for an area that houses 70,000 people…..Damning

Over the past 4 years we have invested almost £30m in ⚽️ facilities.
Participation was 79k in 2021....soon it will reach 120,000. We are growing @FAWales 🏴
This Summer we will launch our new long-term strategy and your ideas & thoughts are most welcome ❤️ @Cymru
@DyfiPlumbing@JohnMcM04582246 I really hope wherever you live that the FAW invest in better facilities for your area so kids benefit. Despite your inward thinking.
@DyfiPlumbing@JohnMcM04582246 And what point does that prove? So because you don’t have facilities i shouldn’t push for more for my area? The point is the FAW should be investing far more in rural areas of Wales and not concentrate on the south so much. Have a great day.
