Editing came together on this one (albeit later than expected).

@Dataracer117@Seaabastian Yeah the retroactive claim that there were zero issues and all the bad reception was merely pre-emptive 'review bombing' is quite funny now.
I find the proportions and design language of the new character to be too much of a departure for my liking. You're welcome to disagree.
But since you've primarily focused on speculating and spit-balling/editing your replies to find the magic 'winning' ad hominem, I'm not convinced a nuanced discussion is possible.
@TiffanyStarrXXX I believe I answered that right at the beginning, right before you went on a tangent incorrectly guessing my experience with the franchise and misinterpreting my comment as a categorical rejection of *all* female characters.
@TiffanyStarrXXX Part of thinking critically is reading what's actually said before responding, instead of pulling out a canned answer that doesn't apply.
No one is arguing there have 'never been women in Gears of War', but there are degrees of success in execution.
Again, over-generalising. Not everything has woke influence, but a lot of things certainly do, even by their own admission.
The game itself could still be decent, but that doesn't mean my eyes can ignore a really desperate attempt to man-ify a female character.
Kait was okay in 4, but 5 definitely ramped up 'scowling girlboss'. Trying too hard, imo, rather than being secure about it.
Nice talking to you.
@Dragonslay3r94 Blurring gender distinctions.
There's a medium between 'model' and making a woman look like a dude (but of course, you're arguing for the most extreme correction).
Aliens did it in a more measured way with Vasquez.
